The transmission belt manufacturing method is provided with: a step for forming and vulcanizing an endless tension element layer (111) in which core wires (112) that extend in the longitudinal direction of the belt have been embedded; a step for forming and vulcanizing a rubber member (121A) for a compressed rubber layer; and a step for bonding the vulcanized tension element layer (111) to the vulcanized rubber member (121A) for the compressed rubber layer.
