<p>The invention relates to a hydrodynamic torque converter (1) having a driving pump wheel (2) and a driven turbine wheel (3), which is rotatably arranged in a housing (7), wherein the housing can be fastened to the output shaft (26) of a drive unit, wherein a torque converter lock-up clutch (4) is formed, by which the turbine wheel (3) can be connected, preferably in a rotationally fixed manner, to the housing, and wherein the torque converter lock-up clutch (4) has at least one piston (5) and at least one friction disc (6) for the releasable frictional connection of the turbine wheel (3) to the housing, at least one damper (13) that is connected to the turbine wheel being provided. The hydrodynamic torque converter according to the invention is characterized in that at least one transmission unit (11) is provided, by which the at least one friction disc is connected to at least one of the dampers for the at least temporary transmission of torque. The hydrodynamic torque converters shown here ensure a substantially zero backlash transmission of the torque in the circumferential direction.
