FIELD: physics, computer engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing within a computing environment, particularly conversion of data from one format to another. The technical result is achieved through machine instructions which read data from memory, convert said data into a corresponding floating-point decimal format and write said data into a target floating-point register or a pair of floating-point registers.
