PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide isolated human antibodies or antigen-binding portions thereof that specifically bind to human M-CSF and act as an M-CSF antagonist, and to provide compositions comprising such antibodies or antigen-binding portions thereof.SOLUTION: The invention provides antibodies that specifically bind to a M-CSF, preferably to human M-CSF and that function to inhibit the M-CSF, antigen-binding portions thereof, human anti M-CSF antibodies and antigen binding portions thereof, as well as compositions comprising the antibodies or antigen binding portions thereof, and nucleic acid molecules encoding compounds constituting the composition. The invention also provides methods for preparing human anti M-CSF antibodies and compositions comprising the antibodies, methods for using the antibodies and the compositions in diagnosis and treatment, and gene therapies using the nucleic acid molecules encoding the heavy chain and/or light chain of immunoglobulin molecules comprising the human anti M-CSF antibodies. |
