The present invention relates to a tail stock for a large lathe, the tail stock having high quality oil provided to a bearing unit as well as having inflow of cutting oil prevented during the manufacturing of a workpiece, thereby extending the life of the bearing unit and, by means of an arrangement of the bearing unit, enabling precise manufacturing. In addition, the present invention provides a tail stock for a large lathe, the tail stock having: seals formed on both ends in order to block the space, in which a bearing unit is formed, between a bearing housing and a shaft; double seals formed on the space into which cutting oil could flow; and a cutting oil drain pipe, through which cutting oil can be discharged, formed on a front cover in order to prevent damage on the bearing unit and extend the life thereof, thereby enhancing general durability and, by means of an appropriate arrangement of the bearing unit, enabling precise manufacturing. |
