PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handy terminal automatic settlement system capable of achieving unmanned registers and smoothly performing settlement processing without making customers wait at the registers.SOLUTION: The handy terminal automatic settlement system includes a handy terminal 10 that contactlessly reads merchandise identification information applied to merchandise, and a merchandise comparison device 20, and performs an electronic settlement with a card to be inserted into the handy terminal 10. The handy terminal 10 includes a card lock mechanism that, when a customer's card is inserted therein, locks discharge thereof, and a communication section 11 that executes communications with the merchandise comparison device 20.
