PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplitude suppression device capable of suppressing amplitude of a peak of waveform data while preventing a deterioration in sound quality.SOLUTION: In waveform data expressing waveform of sound on a time axis, a peak position where amplitude reaches a peak is identified by a peak position identification part 21. One or a plurality of frequency components for composing a range including a peak position in the waveform data are extracted by a frequency component extraction part 25. A phase of the extracted frequency component is extracted by a phase extraction part 26. Based on the extracted phase, one or a plurality of frequency components contributing to formation of the peak are selected by a frequency component selection part 27. The phase of the selected frequency component is shifted by a phase shifter 42 so as to decrease the amplitude of waveform at the peak position. |
