PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay device having an overcurrent cutoff function for cutting off a current path between a power supply device and a load, in a case where an overcurrent larger than a predetermined current value flows, while permitting connection and disconnection between the power supply device and the load.SOLUTION: A relay device comprises: a first drive coil driving a movable contact to a first position for electrically connecting between a power supply device and a load, and a second position for cutting off the connection between the power supply device and the load; a second drive coil to which a charge and discharge current of the power supply device is energized, and driving the movable contact to a third position for cutting off the connection between the power supply device and the load and that is different from the second position in a case where the charge and discharge current larger than the predetermined current value flows; and a holding mechanism engaged with the movable contact driven to the third position to hold, at the third position, the position of the movable contact after the charge and discharge current larger than the predetermined current value flows. |
