The present invention relates to a power generation device for water service pipes using a water pressure comprising: a cylindrical housing interposed between water service pipes and having a first inlet for introducing liquid from one water service pipe and a first outlet for discharging the introduced liquid to the other water service pipe; a valve unit cylindrically arranged inside the housing on the same central axis as a central axis of the housing and having a valve body rotated by a water pressure, a plurality of second inlets through which the liquid introduced into the housing is introduced into the valve body, and a second outlet for discharging the liquid to the housing from the valve body; a stator arranged inside the housing; a rotation unit connected to the valve body to rotate together and having a rotor installed corresponding to the stator and a plurality of rotating blades formed from a rotary shaft of the rotor in a circumferential direction; and magnets for producing electricity by the rotation of the rotor. The present invention can increase the water pressure to produce electric energy even in the water service pipes with a low water pressure by gradually reducing the diameter of the second inlets to which the liquid with the low water pressure is introduced and controlling the liquid to be stagnated in the first inlet for a predetermined time through the rotation of the valve body.
