PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reading accuracy of a symbol.SOLUTION: A handy terminal 1 comprises: a scanner part 16 for scanning a symbol; an acceleration sensor for detecting three-dimensional acceleration; a display part 14 and a buzzer for notifying a user of information; and a control part for allowing the scanner part 16 to scan the symbol to decode the symbol; obtaining a base point angle which is an inclination angle of own device, suitable for reading the symbol; calculating the inclination angle of the own device as a device angle by using the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor; determining whether difference between the base point angle and the device angle exceeds a limit angle, and when the difference exceeds the limit angle, causing the display part 14 and the buzzer to notify that the difference exceeds the limit angle. |
