PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polystyrene light guide plate that is used as a plane light source of an edge-light system liquid crystal display device with polystyrene being applied as raw material that is effective for keeping a size stability of its molded product due to low water absorption characteristic in which a problem of generating fine scars at its surface due to friction with the laminated optical sheets has been overcome.SOLUTION: This invention provides a light guide plate made of styrene type resin compound in which polyethylene glycol of average molecular weight of 200 to 4000 of 0.1 to 0.5 pt.mass in respect to styrene resin of 100 pts.mass is included and further sometimes higher fatty acid and/or higher aliphatic alcohol of 0.1 to 1.0 pt.mass is included. |
