An information processing apparatus for determining an arrangement position of a sub display area in a screen of a display apparatus displaying a main display area and the sub display area such that the main display area and the sub display area are overlapped with each other, the information processing apparatus comprising:
an element position acquisition unit that acquires arrangement positions of at least two display elements arranged in a web page, the arrangement positions being a positions in a crossing direction crossing a predetermined scroll direction of the web page displayed to be scrollable in the main display area; and an arrangement position determination unit that determines an arrangement position in the crossing direction of the sub display area in accordance with the acquired arrangement positions of the two display elements, wherein the two display elements include a first display element displayed in the main display area before the scrolling starts and a second display element not displayed in the main display area before the scrolling starts.
