PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an abnormal mounting position of an on-vehicle camera attached to a vehicle.SOLUTION: If an on-vehicle camera is attached normally to be able to capture an image of a monitoring region, it is estimated that an image which includes a predetermined feature amount is capture. By the storage of the feature amount in advance in such a case that the on-vehicle camera is normally attached, the existence or non-existence of the abnormality in the mounting position of the on-vehicle camera is determined by the comparison of the feature amount with the feature amount of an actually captured image. Thus, it is possible to determine with high accuracy the existence or non-existence of an abnormality in the mounting position of the on-vehicle camera, without depending on the visual observation of a person. |
