PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a response speed and a transmission factor.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 10 includes: substrates 21 and 22 that are disposed to face each other; a liquid crystal layer 23 that is sandwiched between the substrates 21 and 22, formed of a p-type liquid crystal material and vertically aligned when there is no electric field; one or plural linear pixel electrodes 24 provided on the substrate 21; common electrodes 25 that are provided on the substrate 21 and formed at prescribed intervals apart so as to enclose or sandwich the respective pixel electrodes 24; and a common electrode 28 that is provided on the substrate 22, has a substantially same planar shape as that of the common electrodes 25 and configured that at least a part thereof is overlapped with the common electrodes 25 in a planar projection. |
