A system and method for simulating operation of a non-medical tool, having at least one device for detecting the spatial position and movement of a user, a data processing device and at least one display device that displays a virtual processing object. The data of the device for detecting the spatial position and movement of a user are sent to the data processing device, are processed there, and are forwarded to the at least one display device which displays an image of the user or of a part of the user and an image of the tool, the positions and movements of the images being displayed on the basis of the data of the devices for detecting the spatial position and movement of a user relative to the virtual processing object. |
