Embodiments of the present invention are generally directed towards utilization of various controllers in a cross-platform manner. Specifically, embodiments of the present invention are configured to provide a multiplatform controller that allows for the playing of video games through a computer console with the ability to use controllers (Gamepad type) of different brands and models.

1. A system for providing a universal controller interpreter, the system comprising:
a universal controller interpretation module, comprising computer-executable code stored in non-volatile memory, and a processor, one or more input means, wherein at least one of said input means is a controller device, wherein said universal controller interpretation module, said processor and said one or more input means are operably connected and are configured to: receive event data and controller identification data; process controller identification data in order to identify the input means; process event data into one or more input events; interpret each of said one or more input events into game events usable by a running game; and implement said game events for said running game.
