This holding treatment device is equipped with an ultrasonic-wave control unit for, on the basis of the detection of a target peak, stopping the output of vibration-generating power or outputting a vibration-generating power in a second ultrasonic-wave output mode for which the incision performance caused by ultrasonic vibrations in a treatment section is less than that of a first ultrasonic-wave output mode prior to peak detection. This holding treatment device is further equipped with a high-frequency control unit for, on the basis of the detection of the target peak, outputting high-frequency power in a second high-frequency output mode for which the incision performance caused by a high-frequency current flowing between a probe electrode unit and a jaw electrode unit is greater than that of a first high-frequency output mode prior to peak detection. |
