The invention relates to a collecting apparatus (1) for collecting environmentally harmful liquids, in particular oil, which drip off towers (5), pillars or the like, in particular for wind turbines, wherein at least one sleeve (2), which runs all the way around the tower (5) and adjoins the tower (5) in a liquid-tight manner, and a collecting means (3), which is fastened on the sleeve, are provided and the collecting means (3) contains binding agent (4) for environmentally harmful liquids, in particular oil binding agent, wherein openings (32) are provided beneath the binding agent (4) in the collecting means (3) in order for condensation to be drained off. The invention further relates to a method for collecting environmentally harmful liquids, in particular oil, which drip off towers (5), pillars or the like, in particular wind turbines, wherein all the liquids dripping off the tower (5), that is to say oil and condensation, are collected by the collecting apparatus (1) and directed to collecting means (3) and the oil is bound in the collecting means (3), whereas the condensation can drip off out of the collecting apparatus (1), through openings (32), beneath the collecting means (3). |
