FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to tool tips and cutters and to their fabrication. Cutting plate comprises cutting surface, opposite surface, cutting plate outer wall extending from opposite surface circle to that of cutting surface. Two or several grooves extend from cutting surface section to that of cutting plate outer wall. Ribs made of heat-resistant material are arranged around each of two or several grooves. Note here that at least one said rib stays in contact with similar adjacent rib. Fabrication of said cutting element comprises the steps that follow. Making of cutting plate comprising cutting surface, opposite surface, cutting plate outer wall extending from opposite surface circle to that of cutting surface. Jointing of cutting plate to substrate. Making of two or several grooves extending from cutting surface section to that of cutting plate outer wall. Cutting plate is subjected to leaching for forming the ribs from heat-resistant material.
