PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mass analysis device and a mass analysis method capable of reducing a measurement time and also capable of reducing the amount of a sample consumed.SOLUTION: On the basis of three-dimensional information consisting of a retention time, a mass-to-charge ratio, and intensity, ions (peaks P11, P21, P22, P32) whose intensity distribution forms a peak waveform for both each retention time and each mass-to-charge ratio are detected as MS/MS precursor ions. Determination is made, on the basis of whether the isotopic distribution of a plurality of these ions is superposed at each retention time rt1-rt3, as to whether or not to perform MSanalysis on each ion. It is thereby made possible to determine ions (peaks P21, P22) on which MSanalysis is performed at a point of time when the MS/MS precursor ions are detected while measuring an MS spectrum and ions (peaks P11, P32) on which MSanalysis is not performed. |
