PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update a database with proper information.SOLUTION: A feature word extraction section 54 extracts a feature word from news information which has passed an expiration date. A speech invalidation section 56 updates a valid/invalid flag of a speech including the feature word extracted by the feature word extraction section 54, to invalid, on a speech database 40 storing a plurality of speeches with valid/invalid flags. A feature word extraction section 60 extracts a feature word from news information registered on a news database 20. A news invalidation section 64 updates a valid/invalid flag of the news information to invalid, on the basis of a frequency of appearance of the feature word in the speeches registered in the speech database 40 and uttered within a predetermined period.
