A Medical Stretcher

The present invention relates to a medical stretcher including a carbon fibre composite frame and/or chassis. Preferably, the medical stretcher further includes a carbon fibre composite patient support. Advantageously, stretchers including carbon fibre composite structural components are lightweight (< 15 kg) when compared with conventional stretchers with steel, alloy or aluminum components. Preferably, the stretcher is a hand carried stretcher which is carried by hand when loaded.
