PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimming element that can be used even in a transmission type and has a high-quality mirror surface state allowing a high contrast ratio, and to provide a product including the dimming element.SOLUTION: The dimming element of the present invention includes: a pair of substrates (2 and 3); a pair of electrodes (21 and 31) that are formed on facing surfaces of the pair of substrates (2 and 3) and of which one electrode is a nano-order transparent electrode (31) having irregularity; and an electrolyte layer (4) that is held between the pair of electrodes (21 and 31) and includes a mediator and an electrochromic material containing an electrolyte and silver. A device of the present invention partially includes the dimming element. |
