Cloud based 2D dental imaging system with HTML web browser acquisition

An HTML web browser based imaging system which supports acquisition of 2D x-ray radiographs and which includes either a 2D x-ray imaging device or a 2D color imaging device and a client device located in a dental office. Software operating upon the client device and a cloud server with dental imaging software installed and means to receive and store images or image data. The client device and the cloud server are connected either directly or indirectly via either an internet connection or a VPN connection. The client device has capability of the HTML web browser so that it does not require either an add-on extension or plug-in in order to control acquisition of images from a dental x-ray sensor. The software communicates with the dental x-ray sensor and receives image or image data from the dental x-ray sensor. The software receives direction to initiate acquisition and/or to receive image or image data via communication from the application server and/or from the HTML web browser.

1. An HTML web browser based imaging system for supporting acquisition of 2D x-ray radiographs wherein said HTML web browser based imaging system comprises:
a. a 2D x-ray imaging device located in the dental office; b. a client device with capability of a HTML web browser located in the dentist office wherein said capability of said HTML web browser does not require either an add-on extension or plug-in in order to control acquisition of images from a dental x-ray sensor; c. software operating upon said client device wherein said software communicates directly or indirectly with said dental x-ray sensor and receives image or image data from said dental x-ray sensor and wherein said software receives direction to initiate acquisition and/or to receive image or image data via communication from said application server and/or from said HTML web browser of said client device; and d. a cloud server with dental imaging software installed and means to receive and store images or image data wherein said client device with said HTML web browser and said cloud server are connected directly or indirectly via either an internet connection or a VPN connection.
