A medical needle (1) provided with a flat puncture section (10) where the front and back surfaces are parallel to one another, wherein: the puncture section (10) is provided with a pair of side surface incline sections (14, 14) provided respectively to distal ends of two side surfaces, and a front surface incline section (16) provided to a distal end of the front surface; the pair of side surface incline sections (14, 14) and the front surface incline section (16) are each extended at an incline relative to a puncture direction so as to become tapered; the distal end of the front surface incline section (16) is bonded to a cutting edge section (15) formed by bonding the distal ends of the pair of side surface incline sections (14, 14); and a groove section (17) is formed on the front surface of the puncture section (10) so as to partially cut out the pair of side surface incline sections (14, 14) and the front surface incline section (16). |
