<p>The current invention discloses new dividable surfaces (30) having plugs (21) and holes (11), and methods for culturing and passaging cells using said dividable surfaces(30). In particular a cell culture assembly (1) comprises a top component (10) with through holes (11) in a fixed pattern and a bottom component (20) with matching plugs (21) distributed in the fixed pattern and arranged to be aligned with the through holes (11).
