The present invention relates to a display device and a driving method thereof and, more specifically, to a display device which is able to reduce consuming power and a driving method thereof. The display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: an indicator board including a plurality of pixels and a plurality of data lines; a data driving unit applying data voltages to the data lines; an image pattern judgment unit generating image pattern information by judging an image pattern based on an input image signal; and a bias current control signal generation unit generating a bias current control signal deciding the size of the bias current of the data driving unit based on the image pattern information.
