<p>The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for estimating quality degradation of a terminal of a subscriber, which receives and plays a video by using only video contents features and network status information, in the position of a service provider who transmits the video online. According to the present invention, the method includes the steps of: determining s, which is the number of slices per frame of the video contents, g, which is the number of frames included in Group Of Pictures (GOP), and d, which is a feature value of the video contents; measuring a Packet Loss Rate (PLR) of a network to be used for transmitting the video contents; and calculating an image degradation rate of a terminal which receives video contents through the network by using all of the s, the g, the d, and the PLR.</p> |
