<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical workpiece cutting apparatus in which disturbance of smooth enlargement and contraction of the diameter of a workpiece holder due to spatter can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: In the cylindrical workpiece cutting apparatus in which a metal cylindrical workpiece is held by a holder, the workpiece is irradiated with laser beams while rotating the holder, whereby the workpiece is cut in round slices to form metal rings, a Teflon (R) sheet 114 for closing slits 111 and 112 formed in the inner wall of a cylindrical holding member 110 constructing the holder is provided from a base end to a distal end of the holding member 110.
