<p>A light emitting device (100) comprises a substantially cuboid package (20) made up of a molded article (30) and a lead (40) that is embedded in the molded article (30), and a light emitting element (10) that is installed in the package (20). The lead (40) has a connector (41) where the light emitting element (10) is installed, and a terminal part (42) and an exposed part (43) that are linked to the connector (41). The package (20) has a bottom face (20A), a front face (20C) that is a light emission face contiguous with the bottom face (20A), and a rear face (20D) that is contiguous with the bottom face (20A) and is opposite the front face (20C). The first terminal part (42) and the exposed part (43) are linked to the rear face side of the connector (41), are exposed from the molded article (30) and contiguous with the bottom face (20A) and the rear face (20D), and are isolated at the bottom face (20A).</p> |
