<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of varying a focal distance of a multistage sextupole magneton comprising a permanent magnet by an external operation. <P>SOLUTION: The entire multistage sextupole magneton comprises a plurality of sextupole magnetons each of which comprises a permanent magnet, and a position of a part of the sextupole magnetons can be operated from an outside by means of a moving mechanism.
