<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platform scale having high accuracy in weighing a heavy object. <P>SOLUTION: A platform scale includes a weighing plate supported by plural weight sensor units. Component force buffers 140 are disposed at points coming into contact with the weighing plate in the weight sensor units, and each include a ball unit 142 having plural rotatable balls 141 held circumferentially and an upper board 143 and a lower board 144 capable of relatively moving with the ball unit 142 therebetween. The lower board 144 is fixed on the weight sensor unit side. The upper board 143 includes a boss 150 having an apex in a truncated cone shape. Engaging the boss with a bowl-like recess provided on the inner side of a cover part restricts the position of the weighing plate with respect to the upper board 143. A measurement error due to flexion of the weighing plate can be effectively eliminated, and weighing is achieved with high accuracy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
