<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glow plug assembly structure that prevents damage to a glow plug and an engine when the glow plug is incorrectly mounted. <P>SOLUTION: This glow plug assembly structure is configured as follows.In multiple kinds of glow plugs, heating elements and the main metal fittings have the same appearance, the heating elements have different performances. The rear end of a connection terminal projecting from the rear end of a main metal fitting toward a rear end side or at least a part of an insulator has different shapes for multiple kinds of glow plugs. A first kind of glow plug connector has a connector terminal or a cap which has a shape to be inserted/removed into/from only the insulator or the rear end of the connection terminal of the first kind of the glow plug in the multiple kinds of glow plugs.
