A method, system and computer program for verifying the source location of a package, comprising; certifying the source location of the package prior to shipping and providing the package with secure package shipment information 302 (including said certified source location 304). The source location is certified using a data terminal that has a tamper resistant boundary and comprises a location data component. On arrival at the package destination, the secure package shipment information may be used to verify the origin of the package 316. A recipient data terminal flags the package shipment information to indicate non-trustworthy location data. Packages and untrusted source locations are identified based on the flagged data. A determination is made as to whether the tamper resistant boundary has been tampered with and if so then a portion of the functionality of the data terminal is disabled. |
