摘要 A low-profile condensing unit adapted to be installed within the alcoves of a building comprising a frame having a base plate into which the following components are mounted on: a compressor, a condenser coil, a gas service valve, a liquid service valve, a condenser fan, a condenser fan motor, and a control box. The refrigerant circuit starts at the gas side service valve. These are connected to the suction side of the compressor thru refrigerant pipes constructed of copper. Within the compressor, refrigerant of low pressure gaseous state is compressed to high pressure gas. This gas exits the compressor discharge thru copper refrigerant pipes connected to one end of the condenser coil. Inside the condenser coil, high pressure refrigerant gas is transformed into high pressure liquid by heat transfer from air drawn by the condenser fan thru the coil. High pressure liquid refrigerant is flashed into low pressure liquid at the expansion device. Liquid refrigerant is then conveyed to the indoor fan coil unit after passing thru the liquid service valve. This system uses Hydroflourocarbon 410A (R-410A). The condenser fan is directly driven by the condenser fan motor from the motor's shaft. The control box includes: an inverter module, fan contactor and electrical controls such as a circuit breaker to simplify installation. All of these components are enclosed m a powder painted steel box. Internal components can be accessed for servicing from the top or from the rear - on the side of the control box.
