PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell separator excellent in the performance of discharging water, which is capable of keeping a high water repellency over a long term without affecting its own conductivity, mechanical strength and elution property, necessary for it to serve as a fuel cell separator, and which can be manufactured by a simple manufacturing process.SOLUTION: The fuel cell separator can be manufactured according to a molding method by use of a molding material which comprises: a thermoplastic resin composition containing a PPS resin and a fluorine resin; and graphite. The molding material is arranged so that in the thermoplastic resin composition, the composition mass ratio of the PPS resin and the fluorine resin, namely PPS resin/fluorine resin is 99/1-70/30, and the content of the graphite is 250-1000 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of the thermoplastic resin composition. The fuel cell separator has a flexural strength of 40 MPa or larger in mechanical strength, a volume resistance of 10 m&OHgr; cm or smaller in conductivity, and a contact angle of 80° or larger to water in water repellency. Use of the fluorine resin in the molding material allows the fuel cell separator to keep high water repellency with reliability. |
