PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte excellent in oxygen permeability and proton conductivity and a method for producing the electrolyte; a fluorine-containing cyclic compound; a fluorine-containing sulfonimide compound and a fluorine-containing cyclic compound precursor; and a fuel cell.SOLUTION: There are provided an electrolyte comprising a fluorine-containing cyclic structure having a number of constituting atoms of 3 or more and 8 or less, and a sulfonimide structure represented by the general formula: -[SONMSO-(CRfRf)]-SONMSO- (where, M represents hydrogen or an alkali metal, Rfand Rfrepresent fluorine or a perfluoro alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, respectively, and a and k represent an integer of 1 or more, respectively) at a main chain or at a side chain of the electrolyte; and a method for producing the electrolyte. There are also provided a fluorine-containing cyclic compound, a fluorine-containing sulfonimide compound and a fluorine-containing cyclic compound precursor that are used as raw materials of the electrolyte; and a fuel cell using the electrolyte. |
