The sensor integration device is an auxiliary module and is used for endoprostheses. The object of the invention is to provide the simplest possible device, which can be optionally inserted and is cost-effective to produce, for integrating sensors into intelligent endoprostheses with a modular construction, without the need for intervention in the design of the implant. To achieve this, a simple intraoperative handling method should in particular be considered. Existing production and sterilisation processes should remain the same for implant manufacturers. The object is achieved by a sensor integration device for endoprostheses, said device having a cylindrical hollow body that is sealed at both ends, the cavity of said body containing various sensors and a data transmission unit. The device is characterised in that it is an auxiliary module which is inserted into a bore in the proximal region of an endoprosthesis shaft and/or which forms part of an anchoring pin.
