<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance data transmission efficiency of the whole system, in a PON system including an OLT and a plurality of ONUs.SOLUTION: An OLT includes a bandwidth allocation control unit for inquiring presence or absence of a bandwidth allocation request for an ONU, a bandwidth request receiving unit performing reception processing of the bandwidth allocation request from the ONU, and control means for determining whether or not the bandwidth allocation information is included, for the inquiry of presence or absence of a bandwidth allocation request, transmitting the bandwidth allocation information if it is included, otherwise determining that there is no transmission data from a transmission buffer of the ONU, and monitoring the transmission interval of an LLID update request from the ONU, determining that the transmission data is not stored in the transmission buffer of the ONU, if the transmission interval is longer than a predetermined interval, and performing the LLID update processing.</p> |
