<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal aligning agent that gives a liquid crystal alignment layer, to which alignment regulation force on liquid crystal molecules can be imparted by a photo-aligning method, and which shows an excellent balance in vertical alignment regulation force and coating properties when the agent is applied to a vertical alignment type liquid crystal display element, and which shows excellent alignment regulation force when applied to a TN (twisted nematic) type, STN (super twisted nematic) type or in-plane switching system liquid crystal display element. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal aligning agent contains a radiation-sensitive polymer having a structure expressed by formula (A'). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
