<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader capable of improving efficiency of read operation without the needs for troublesome resetting and reread processing for an image of a document even if a document is an envelope or the like and thereby multiple-document feeding is erroneously detected. <P>SOLUTION: The image reader 200 is configured such that when a multiple-document detecting means 550 detects more than one documents being fed together, read means 507 and 508 are stopped from reading following documents and processing after multiple-document feeding detection selected in a selection picture on a console panel is carried out after read processing by the read means 507 and 508 for an image of a document whose multiple-document feeding is detected is completed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
