<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wiper motor from being continuously powered in an overload state to extend the lifetime of the wiper motor. <P>SOLUTION: The wiper control device includes: output shaft sensors 40a, 40b each generating a rotating pulse signal as an armature shaft of the wiper motor rotates; a data comparison part 53a that compares an integrated value of the rotating pulse signal with a target position; and a stop position retaining/driving part 53b that controls the armature shaft so as to bring the integrated value close to the target position when the data comparison part 53a determines that the integrated value has exceeded the target position. The stop position retaining/driving part 53b stops control of the armature shaft if the integrated value is not close to the target position during control of the armature shaft. When a link mechanism 16 or the like is deflected by a lump of snow or when a vehicle travels at a high speed, the wiper motor is prevented from being continuously powered in an overload state, to prevent seizure of the wiper motor, thereby protecting the wiper motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
