The present invention provides a layered ceramic capacitor which scarcely generates a noise. A plurality of internal electrodes (3, 4) are arranged in a ceramic body (2) formed from a dielectric material. A direction in which the plurality of internal electrodes (3, 4) are layered is referred to as a layering direction. A first direction perpendicular to the layering direction of the ceramic body (2) is referred to as a longitudinal direction. A second direction perpendicular to the layering direction and the first direction is referred to as a transverse direction. The ceramic body (2) comprises: an effective unit wherein the plurality of internal electrodes (3, 4) are layered; a first outer layer unit (2g) disposed on one side of the effective unit in the layering direction; a second outer layer unit (2h) disposed on the other side of the effective unit in the layering direction; and a first and a second transverse direction gap unit (2i, 2j) formed on one side and the other side of a portion where the effective unit, and the first and the second outer layer unit (2g, 2h) are layered in the transverse direction. When a transverse direction dimension of the first and the second transverse direction gap unit (2i, 2j) is denoted by A, and a dimension of a thickness of the effective unit in the layering direction is denoted by B, A/B is smaller than or equal to 0.04. |
