PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover device having a simple structure for closing a cover body in a vertical attitude, the device including an opening/closing detection sensor having a feature for determining whether the cover body is open or closed and a feature for maintaining a closed state of the standing cover body.SOLUTION: The cover device includes a part to be attached where the cover body 3 is openably and closably attached so that a base end becomes a rocking fulcrum gear 4 and the opening/closing detection sensor 6 for detecting an opening and closing status of the cover body. The cover body is configured to employ a vertical attitude where the rocking fulcrum gear is located below in the close state and a horizontal attitude in the open state. The opening/closing detection sensor includes a rockable sensor lever 8 for taking the first and second positions corresponding to the close and open states of the cover, and a biasing member 10 for biasing the sensor lever. A biasing force of the biasing member is configured to react in a closing direction with respect to the cover body in a state that the sensor lever is in the first position. |
