The present invention provides a moisture-proof washing machine which has a setting dial and which improves the productivity. The washing machine comprises a washing tub which accommodates clothing, an outer tub in which the washing tub is disposed, a dial which performs setting of the contents of operation, a rotary encoder which is attached to the dial and outputs a signal with the rotation of the aforementioned dial, and a display device lighted corresponding to the contents of operation. The rotary encoder and the display device are arranged on a common substrate. A wall circumferentially covers the whole rotary encoder. The substrate is filled by resin from the inside to the outside of the wall, and the height of the resin inside the wall is lower than that of the resin outside. |
