<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive waste decontamination method capable of improving a rate of decontaminating an oxide film containing a radioactive substance with low consumption of chemical solution at low processing temperature even in a short period. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention is a radioactive waste decontamination method to remove an oxide film formed internal surface of a decontamination object to be disposed of after replacing a member constituting a primary system of a nuclear power plant. The radioactive waste decontamination method comprises: a first measuring process to measure a radiation dosage of the decontamination object; a chemical solution holding process to hold chemical solution, for decontaminating the oxide film of the decontamination object by dissolving the same, on an internal surface of the decontamination object for a prescribed period; a chemical solution removing process to remove the held chemical solution after a lapse of the prescribed period; and a second measuring process to measure the radiation dosage of the decontamination object after decontaminating the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
