The head has a shower head housing defined by a jet disk (5) on one side. A turbulence chamber (6) is formed in the housing and tapered from an inlet region (7) in a direction of the jet disk. A water guide is guided from a water inlet into the chamber and tangentially discharged in the inlet region of the chamber in a circumferential direction. The chamber includes a circular periphery in a cross-section extending parallel to the jet disk. A tapered region (8) of the chamber begins approximately parallel to a cross-sectional plane and ends in a narrow point (9).
