The system (1) includes a particulate filter (PF) module (3) with at least one particulate filter (10) connected to an exhaust line upstream from the selective catalyst reduction (SCR) housing (5) of an SCR module (2). The SCR housing encloses at least one SCR catalyst (6) connected to the exhaust line. The particulate filter is set within a PF housing (9). The SCR module has a sensor for measuring at least one of temperature, NOR, and NH3 in the exhaust stream. An independent claim is also included for a modular system.
