The present invention relates to a device and a method for searching for an obstacle avoidance route for vehicles, wherein the device includes: a providing part to provide a driving route to the destination of a vehicle for a driver; a detection part to detect whether an obstacle exists on a lane in the driving route; and a searching part to search for an avoidance route for avoiding the obstacle to regenerate the driving route when the obstacle exists on the lane as a detection result of the detection part.
