<p>A method for determining the presence of flowing water in the vicinity of a vehicle 2 is provided. The method comprises emitting a pair of periodic signals 68 into an area surrounding the vehicle 2, receiving a pair of reflected periodic signals 70 each of which is a reflection of at least part of a respective one of the emitted pair of periodic signals 68, comparing the reflected pair of periodic signals to identify differences between them, and analysing the differences to determine the presence of flowing water 66 in the area surrounding the vehicle 2.</p> |
